Betty Boop's first appearance as a human is in 1932's Any Rags. Any Rags features the dog Bimbo as a "rag man"-also known as a junk or garbage man. As Bimbo walks through town collecting items to auction off, a series of gags follows as he steals items off a clothesline, the clothes off people's backs, a bottle from the mouth of a baby and more. We meet Betty when Bimbo comes to her building collecting garbage. As Betty leans out the window to heed the garbage man's call for rags, the top of her dress slides down multiple times revealing her strapless bra. It is quite the introduction to Betty Boop. Soon she is down on the street singing with Bimbo helping him give a performance as he hocks his junk collection to a crowd. They sing, they smooch and, in the end, move into a house fashioned from the junk wagon.
