Tthe life of three childhood friends living in rural coastal Karnataka, each aspiring different things from life. It also reflects on the growing western influence on Indian society, its limitations on the moral/philosophical aspects of life. Shashank is a well educated middle class young man having a "modern" approach towards life and views USA as the dream country that would fulfill his wishes. Surya is the traditional, moral minded person who envisions his life in India with all its customes, traditions & emotional connect with the people whom he lives with. Bhumika is the bridge that connects both Shashank and Surya who have ideological differences and poles apart in their views. She holds their friendship together and helps significantly in their personal growth.
