This travelogue takes the viewer on a picturesque tour of Italy's Amalfi Coast, starting from Naples with the first stop in Sorrento, where the bustling city center has shops selling local handicrafts and food shops and restaurants reminiscent of middle eastern bazaars. Driving down the volcanic coast takes one to Positano. The area once pillaged by African pirates is not forgotten by locals, but the beaches of the area now provide one with a different, more relaxing perspective. The Emerald Grotto is located just off the coast. During high tides, water fills the grotto, light shining through the cave entrances providing a glimmer of the beauty inside. The next stop, the town of Amalfi, is a relatively quiet town which belies its rich Moorish history. Fishing and the decorative arts, specifically mosaics and ceramics, pervade the entire region. The tour concludes in the towns of Cetara, Vietri sul Mare and the Island of Ischia, where tourists are treated to an ancient war dance.
