An automobile manufacturer comes up with a low-priced but efficient new car. However, when he orders all of his employees to drive the car, his son Jimmy defies him and buys a car from his father's rival, Tyler, who makes expensive roadsters. However, he learns that Tyler plans to destroy one of his father's cars in an upcoming transcontinental race, and agrees to drive one of his father's cars in the next race, unaware that Tyler also has plans for both him and the car.
