Italy, 1943 - After being captured in North Africa, two young British prisoners of war, Ernie and Harry are set to be moved to Germany. During transit, they decide to make their daring escape attempt. The film tells the story of the Italian Contadini, brave families who risked everything to aid and shelter allied fugitives whilst under German occupation. Based on the director's great grandfather and his experiences as an escaped PoW in Italy.
