Jeanne Millett, a French orphan is adopted by Philip Lawton and his wife, Betty, living on their California estate, soon the horse trainer Jerry Hayes, is quite captivated by the lovely girl. Betty feels neglected and craving attention, she becomes involved with Alec Crosby, when Philip returns from a business trip, his suspicion and jealousy are awakened by gossip. To cover for Betty, Jeanne says Crosby is her lover, and Jerry injures Crosby in a fight; but Betty confesses that the innocent girl lied to save her. Jerry is convinced of Jeanne's loyalty, and the Lawtons re-unite.
