A Hundred Miles to the End is a surf film shot entirely on Long Island, New York over a span of three years. Life long surfer, John Beattie suffered a stroke in 2007 which left him unable to surf anymore. So once he recovered enough to drive again he set out to re-discover many of the places he surfed on Long Island during his life, starting in Long Beach and following the coast to the east and finishing in Montauk. Thus the title 'A Hundred Miles to The End'.
