• Co-founded the non-profit, Axis of Justice, which states its purpose is to bring musicians, fans and political organizations to fight for social justice
• Earned a social studies degree from Harvard University in 1986
• Son of Ngethe Njoroge, the first ambassador from Kenye to the United Nations
• Relocated to Los Angeles immediately after college, where he was forced to work as an exotic dancer and later an assistant to a Democratic Senator to support himself
• Quote: "The way great rock and roll bands happen is organically․"
• Following the disbandment of his first group, he would audition newcomers for his newest venture called Rage Against the Machine, which would eventually go on to score their first record deal in 1992
• Went on to form Audioslave in 2001 and would eventually release a triple-platinum debut album with the group the following year
• While Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine were on hiatus in the 2000s, he would go on to experiment with the formation of The Nightwatchman, a folk-based jazz group
• Wrote several issues of the Dark Horse comic book, Orchid
• After buying his first guitar as a teenager, he joined his first group, a Led Zepplin cover band, at 13-years-old
