• Survived testicular cancer, and has since worked to raise awareness for the disease, starting a fund to raise money for cancer research and speaking in front of large audiences about testicular cancer
• Began performing stand-up at local comedy clubs at the age of 15, then left to record with his rap group in New York City
• Had a short rap career in Canada in the early 1990s and returned to his musical talents later, releasing a solo album in 2005 including both comedy tracks and more serious rap songs about his career
• Uses shock humor and gross-out comedy in his routines and television shows
• Was the first performer to accept a Razzie Award in person, unrolling his own red carpet when he arrived and playing the harmonica during his acceptance speech until he was dragged off stage
• While fishing in Costa Rica in 2006, a wave swept him off an outcrop, resulting in two broken ribs
