• Her first husband Melven died in a motorcycle accident in 1970 after three years of marriage

• First gained recognition after landing a supporting role on "The Jeffersons" before gaining the most widespread fame with "L․A․ Law", a series she would appear on for more than seven years
• Served as a member of the Staircase Repertory Company in Santa Cruz, California, during the mid-1970s before landing her most well-known role to date, that of secretary Roxanne on NBC's "L․A․ Law"
• Started her own interior design business in the year 2000
