• In 1989, landed a position at KQLZ Pirate Radio in Los Angeles, a glam rock station known for its unconventional tactics, and later says it was the most influential radio position of his career
• Teamed up with veteran county artist managers Larry Fitzgerald, Mark Hartley and Greg Travis in 2002 and partnered with Great American Country, GAC, to produce "Country Music Across America," dedicated to bringing the latest country music news
