• Graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Finance
• Began his television career as a color commentator on "American Gladiators" in 1996 and worked his way up to become the host of the show
• Started out as a stuntman in Hollywood before being offered the job of hosting the Discovery Science series "Deconstruction․"
• Best known as the host of "Designed to Sell" and "Hammer Heads․"
• Founded the production company Match Point Productions, through which he created "Fiji Unleashed" and "The Gathering․"
• He is also a race car driver, having competed in the NASCAR Whelan Circuit and the Hollywood Stuntman Celebrity Classic and formed Hanneman Brothers Racing with his older brother, Greg
• Was the "Today" show's resident home improvement expert during his five-year stint as a host for HGTV
• During his time as a Hollywood stuntman, he was "set on fire, shot off a 3-story building, and jumped the Batmobile over a ravine․"
