• Studied business administration in college
• He and his wife Alison, both home improvement specialists, began working together on the Spike reality series, "Catch a Contractor"
• Initially a financial planner during his earliest career, he would eventually become a full-time, licensed contractor by the mid-90s
• Began appearing on television and radio programs by the late 2000s and would go on to befriend fellow carpenter and comic, Adam Carolla
• Began his craftsmanship training as a teenager, helping his father and grandfather create furniture in the family wood shop
• Followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, both master craftsmen, and became a licensed home contractor
• Founded Big Dog Building and Remodeling, Inc․ in the early 2000s after earning his contractor's license
• When not working on the job, he enjoys riding Harley motorcycles and spending time at the gym
