• Won best actor at the 29th Hong Kong Film Awards for his role in "Echoes of the Rainbow․"

• Asked to try his own stunts in "Bullet in the Head" which resulted in him going to the hospital with burns on his arms

• Known for his versatility as an actor, he has played anything from action heroes to homosexual crime lords
• Frequently appears alongside friend and fellow actor Yun-Fat Chow in series and films
• It was his idea to make his villainous character in "Full Contact" gay as he believed only someone in love with Chow Yun Fat's character would be driven to take the actions his character takes in the film
• Wasn't given the full script ahead of time while filming "The Mission" because the director wanted his performance to be more genuine, in that neither he nor his character would know what was coming next
