His PBS special "P․O․V․" won four Emmy Awards in 2012, in addition to eigth other Emmy nominations
Attended the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, after which he moved to the US and attended Columbia University Business School's Institute for Not-for-Profit Management
Is the treasurer and a board member for Elders Share the Arts and East Harlem Block Schools
Has worked with both Netflix and Docurama to secure pioneering partnerships with "P․O․V․" filmmakers, helping expand the distribution opportunities
Prior to becoming the executive director for "P․O․V․" he worked as the chief operating officer of the American Documentary, and played a key role in helping set direction and implementing new ideas, such as "Diverse Voices Project․"
Prior to working with PBS he was an associated director at Teachers & Writers Collaborative, and later became a member of the board of directors of the nonprofit literacy arts and education organization
In addition to being a funding panel member for organizations such as the Association for Independent Video and the New York City Center for Arts Education, he also is an informal advisor over such organizations
