  • Graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in media arts in 1978
  • As a teenager, he was the editor and publisher of a fanzine called "Bizarre," for which he interviewed the likes of Vincent Price, Christopher Lee and Diana Rigg
  • Began his career as an assistant to director Brian De Palma on the film "Dressed to Kill" and went on to direct his first film, "Double Negative," in 1985
  • Best known as the director of "Elvira's Haunted Hills," "Guilty as Charged" and "Dante's Cove․"
