• Graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in Radio-TV and a minor in Theater in 1976
• He wrote and performed in his own comedy program, "Mid-Century Nonsense Festival Featuring Kumquat Theater," at KAIT-TV
• After he moved to New York to pursue a professional acting career, he sold carpet cleaner before winning a role in the National Lampoon road show "That's Not Funny, That's Sick" in 1977
• While in college, he worked at KAIT-TV doing a wide variety of jobs, including announcing and technical directing
• Best known as the voice of Squidward Tentacles in "SpongeBob SquarePants․"
• His voice has appeared in a number of popular children's films, including "Tarzan," "The Emperor's New Groove," "Monsters, Inc․," and "Spirited Away․"
