• After studying political science at Claremont Men's College, he would go on to earn a master's in psychology from California State University at Los Angeles
• Died of cancer on Christmas Day in 1998 at 58-years-old
• Earned the nickname of "Pige Paul" from Slim Pickens while filming an episode of "The Love Boat" after pigeons pooped on his suit jacket
• An accomplished voice actor, he recorded several tapes for the Braille Institute of Los Angeles
