• Worked as an entertainer at children's parties in his mid-20s, often dressed up as a Ninja Turtle

• Got into the animation industry when he met "Tiny Toon Adventures" story editor Sherri Stoner, the wife of his sketch comedy troupe's director, who gave him the chance to write an episode of the recently-developed "Animaniacs․"

• The character Mr․ Director in "Animaniacs" came from him doing impressions of Jerry Lewis in the office, and executive producer Tom Ruegger encouraged him to use it in the show
