During the Korean War, Corley helped put on entertainment shows for the military leaders as a member of the U․S․ Army stationed in France
Early in his career he was in an Off Broadway play called "The Peace Creeps" with James Earl Jones and Al Pacino and a couple of Broadway productions with James Earl Jones and Christopher Walken
In his youth, he was a dancer with the Stockton, Calif․ Symphony Ballet from age 15 to 21 and again for another year at age 24 when he left the Army
