• His film "Unhook the Stars" came in second for Best English Language Film at the1997 Palm Springs International Film Festival
• Won the Fantasporto Directors' Week Award for "Unhook the Stars" in 1997
• Started his college career at Syracuse University on a basketball scholarship, but eventually decided to go into the family business of show business and studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts
• Grew up around the film industry, even appearing in two of his father's films as a child, but as an adult decided that he wanted to do something different with his life, although he soon changed his mind
• Directed a film called "She's So Lovely" that was written by his late father
• Made a living acting in straight-to-video thrillers such as "Sins of Desire," "Body of Influence" and "Sins of Night" for a number of years
• Participated in the World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitational, coming in in 5th place
