• As a professional ballroom dancer, she won the Austrian National Championship in 1990 and 1991
• She retired from ballroom dancing as a performer after winning the U․S․ Open American Nine Dance competition
• Earned a Bachelor's Degree in physical education from Ohio University
• Before pursuing a career as a dancer, she worked as a physical-education specialist for children with learning disabilities
• As a child she leaned more toward sport activities, such as volleyball, track and basketball, before focusing her attention on dance
• She is a renowned dance teacher and has instructed a number of U․S․ Amateur and Junior Champions
