• Won the 2010 Lorena Gale Woman of Distinction Award from the Union of British Columbia Performers for her work on raising the status of women through her organization My Mother's Story
• Founded the organization My Mother's Story in 2008 to "[honor] our maternal heritage by exploring, writing, sharing, preserving and performing stories that illustrate our mother's lives․"
• Was President of Workshops in the Performing Arts, a non-profit that produced classes for acting teachers internationally, and also helped to train psychiatric nursing students at Douglas College
• Graduated from York University with a degree in Theatre Performance in 1980
• Has appeared in a number of stage productions, including "The Heidi Chronicles" and "The Stone Angel․"
• Best known for her role as Reza Chronides in "Battlestar Galactica" and as Maria Rose in "The Exorcism of Emily Rose․"
