• Made his screen acting debut in the TV series "The Aldrich Family" in 1949
• Started out as an actor, first appearing on Broadway in "Dodsworth" at the age of 14
• Best known as a voice actor who was the voice of all the characters in "Tom Terrific" and of Eustace Bagge in "Courage the Cowardly Dog․"
• Was also an audio book narrator who recorded several children's books on tape and CD, including Louis Sachar's "Wayside School" series
• Wrote children's books as well as his own memoir titled "․․․and Also in the Cast․"
• Adapted the novel "Come and Be Killed" into a play which was first performed at the Berkshire Drama Festival in 1976
• Was the voice of Sidney the Elephant and Stanley the Lion in "The Hector Heathcote Show․"
