• In 2004, he graduated from The Los Angeles Film School
• Was discovered because of a web series he made with his friends about slacker college graduates called "5th Year․"

• Owned a dog named Gripster for three years which was a stray before it was adopted and became a sort of unofficial mascot for the "Workaholics" crew
• Enjoys surfing and once made a documentary in which he and 9 other people drove down the west coast from Oregon for two weeks in a thousand dollar RV, surfing along the way
• Became the youngest teacher in the history of the Los Angeles Film School when he started teaching Avid Editing there at the age of 22
