• Named the Most Valuable Player in the 1995 Cotton Bowl and later the Player of the Game in the 1996 Rose Bowl
• Graduated from USC with a bachelor's degree in social science and history in 1997
• Played college football at the University of Southern California where he was twice selected as a first-team All-American
• Became the NFL's highest paid wide receiver in 2000 after signing an eight-year, $56 million contract with the Tampa Bay Bucs, a team he would eventually win a Super Bowl with in 2002
• Officially announced his retirement in May of 2007 and would eventually join ESPN as an on-screen analyst later that year
