• Got a chance to perform at the Kennedy Center in college after being chosen as a finalist for the Irene Ryan Acting Award

• Active in drama in high school, she won numerous acting awards including the 1998 State Literary Champion for Dramatic Interpretation

• After living in New York following college, she landed her first recurring role on "All My Children" in 2005, a role she would portray for two years before leaving for Hollywood
