• Into the Devil's Den, co-authored by Ramsland, Dave Hall and Tym Burkey, won New Mexico Book of the Year in 2008
• Graduated from Rutgers University with a Ph․D․ in philosophy, and also holds degrees in clinical psychology, forensic psychology and criminal justice
