• Has received two Stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one for Motion Pictures and the other for TV
• Made her Broadway debut in 1947 in "For Love or Money," receiving a standing ovation on its opening night and a Tony award for Outstanding Performance by a Newcomer
• Started her performing at a young age, and made her debut when she was eight at the Metropolitan Opera in their production of "Peter Ibbetson․"
