• After studying at Los Angeles Valley College, she went on to attend the American Conservatory Theater
• Became friends after Lily Tomlin saw her in a comedy club and cast her in "The Incredible Shrinking Woman" in 1981
• Established herself in L․A․'s comedy club scene during the '80s, making most of her appearances as a profane 'valley girl' type character
