• Graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in Theatre Arts
• Got started as a stage performer in musical revues written by her husband and mentor, Billy Barnes, at the Cabaret Club, the Las Palmas Theatre, and eventually on Broadway
• Made her screen acting debut as a Chorus Girl in the 1951 film "Show Boat․"
• Appeared in two films with Vincent Price and Peter Lorre, "Tales of Terror" and "The Comedy of Terrors," and two films with Clint Eastwood, "The Outlaw Josey Wales" and "Every Which Way But Loose․"
• Best known for her role as The Blonde in "The Apartment" and as Rose in "The Outlaw Josey Wales․"
• Although she was often typecast as highly-sexualized "broads" and "dames," she was said to be completely opposite off-screen and was intelligent and well-read
• Performed the songs "Rose of Alabamy" for "The Outlaw Josey Wales" in 1976 and "Shadow Waltz" for "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1965
