• As an animal lover, she has volunteered at the South LA Shelter in Compton California
• In 1989, she won a Young Artist Award for her work on "Charles in Charge․"
• After studying with famed acting coach Paul E․ Richards, she was accepted as a lifetime member into the Actors Studio
