• Performing his first stand-up comedy show in the Boston area at 15
• After being featured in a one-man show at HBO's Workspace in 1999, he got his first talent deal with 20th Century Fox

• Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, he transitioned to screenwriting full-time for a number of years before eventually resurrecting his stand-up career in the late 2000s
