• His role on "Mad About You" garnered him four Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series
• Attended Northeastern Illinois University to study theater arts, but left his junior year after attending a performance of "The American Buffalo" at St․ Nicholas Theater in Chicago and feeling inspired to act
• Began acting in drama while in high school, and became serious about acting after he enrolled in college and majored in theater arts
• Starred in several off-Broadway performances such as "Henry VIII" and "Aristocrats," and later received the lead in the Broadway production of "Amadeus․"
• He received a role in "Great Performances: Life on the Mississippi" after visiting a friend in New York City and auditioning for the role
• He concentrated solely on acting while apart of the St․ Nicholas Theater's two-year theatrical training program
