• In the early 1950's he began his career as a radio writer and later moved into TV, writing small-screen staples
• After moving to Paris and writing for Art Buchwald, he produced his first film "Reach for Glory" in 1963
• He became head of production for EMI productions and worked with them for four years as an independent producer, producing "Racing With the Moon" and "Shanghai Surprise․"
• His son is Peter Kohn, popular assistant director and producer for films such as the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series
