• Graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Music and Musical Theatre in 1984
• Started out doing commercials and television guest spots before getting his first screen role on "Remington Steele" in 1985
• Was an intern at the Theatre Building in Chicago during college, where he appeared in productions of "Room Service" and "American Gothic․"
• Developed an interest in acting in elementary school, when he appeared in a class production of "Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs․"
