• Earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from Penn State University in 1992
• After years of on-site reporting for numerous television affiliates across the Midwest, she earned widespread recognition after earning a spot as host of Food Network's "The Best Of․․․" where she would work for six years
• Began her career as a syndicated program host for various genres before launching the popular "My First Baby" show and blog following the birth of her first child in 2009
• Was named one of the original finalists for a co-host spot on "The View" in the late '90s
• An avid marathon runner, she has competed in the Boston and New York City marathons among others
