• Worked as the political campaign advisor to Robert F․ Kennedy, and he became the mayor of Cincinnati in 1977
• Played Billy Flynn in the West End production of "Chicago" in June 2009 and later made his Broadway debut in the same role in August 2009
• Was a featured character in "The Simpsons" Halloween special in 1998 and played himself in the 1999 film "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me․"
• In addition to his television hosting duties, he recorded a country music album and released his memoir "Ringmaster" in 1998
