• Was inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame in 2007
• Went professional in 1970 and won his first Southern Title, which he would win another six times in the following years, in 1974
• First began appearing in the WWF in the Royal Rumble in 1992
• Best known as a professional wrestler for the WWE who is referred to as "The King․"
• Has also served as an announcer for the WWE for several years, often joining Jim Ross in the broadcast booth
• Has won more championships than any other WWE wrestler, but none of them are WWE championship titles
• Appeared in the Andy Kaufman biopic "Man on the Moon," in which his feud with the comedian was recreated
• Hosted his own TV series, "The Jerry Lawler Show," as well as his own radio show
• Outside of wrestling, he works as a commercial artist, with much of his artwork on display in his home town of Memphis
