• Served in the Marine Corps, stationed at 29 Palms, California for 15 months
• Studied Theatre at the University of Southern Mississippi, but left one semester before graduating to move to Los Angeles for a role in his friend's play, "Dylan's Ghost․"
• After leaving the Marine Corps, he worked as a debt collector for his mother's collection agency

• Wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the 2005 film "Glorious Mail․"
• Best known for his role as O․B․ in "Django Unchained" and as F․B․I․ Man in "Walk the Line․"
