• Attended Coe College, the University of Iowa and Eastern Arizona University before eventually moving to New York City to study at the Actors Studio
• Most recognizable by his clean-shaven head, he often portrays authority figures, with his most notable roles coming in "Top Gun", "Prince of the City" and "WarGames", among others
• Served as an understudy to Robert Duvall in a 1965 stage production of A View From the Bridge
• Is one of few actors to appear in all three "Back to the Future" sequels as well as it's animated television spin-off
