• Both of their 1997 albums, "Middle of Nowhere" and "Snowed In," were certified platinum by the RIAA
• Was nominated for three Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1998
• First formed Hanson with his brothers in the early 1990s, performing at parties, state fairs, and any other venues where they could gain exposure
• Took their independently released debut album, "Boomerang," to the South by Southwest music festival in 1994, where they impressed music lawyer Christopher Sabec so much that he became their manager
