• Best credited for her role on the series "The Bold and the Beautiful," which has four nominations and four awards including Most Valuable Professional Award for Best Actress twice and two Telvis Awards
• Left Texas to attend Fordham University in New York, where she graduated with a pre-med degree
• Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, she began her acting career by doing plays at a local theater, including "Vanities," "I Ought To Be In Pictures" and "The Odd Couple․"
• In 1999 she published her book "Making a Miracle," which recalls the times she was fired from the soap opera "Melrose Place" for becoming pregnant, and also the battles of her young daughter fighting a rare form of eye cancer
• She became well known to play roles in regular daytime soap operas, including her TV debut on "All My Children" in 1985, until she was released 3 years later
• Aside from acting, she is an accomplished equestrian rider and a former title holder for beauty contests "Miss Springtown" and "Miss Teenage Fort Worth․"
• Since her daughter battled with a rare form of eye cancer at a young age, she has been a public speaker and motivator, encouraging families to have hope for their children who face fatal illnesses
