• Served with the U․S․ Navy for 10 years as a fighter pilot, logging more than 2,000 hours in the air and completing two Middle East deployments
• Graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Political Science
• Worked as a pilot for FedEx before deciding to pursue a television career
• Has done travel and technology reporting and entertainment specials for KEYE-TV, KCBS, KTLA, KCAL, and the History Channel
• Best known for participating in "Survivor: Marquesas" and as the host of "Man, Moment, Machine" and "Digging for the Truth․"
• Among his many adventures are skydiving with the Army's Golden Knights, flying with the Blue Angels, rappelling into Peruvian tombs, diving on pirate shipwrecks off the coast of England, and running 150 miles across the Sahara Desert
• Was a member of the Maraamu tribe on "Survivor: Marquesas" and was the third participant to be voted off the show
