• Won the Cyberscreen Science Film Festival in 2012 with his film "Mission Impossible - Graphene․"
• Graduated from Queen's University with a degree in engineering in 2004 and earned his Ph․D․ in physics education from the University of Sydney in 2008
• Worked as a laboratory demonstrator at the University of Sydney in the mid-2000s before becoming the Head of Science at Matrix Education
