• After graduating from the New York City High School of the Performing Arts, she enrolled at Syracuse University, studying TV and radio broadcasting
• Knew she wanted to be an actress by the age of five, as she spent much of her time watching TV, collecting TV guides, and reading Rona Barrett's articles
• Used to perform skits, songs and plays whenever her family got together, and a friend taught her to play the Aboriginal instrument known as the diggerydoo
