• While at NBC News she covered a story about an uprising in Romania, which resulted in her first Emmy Award for TV work, and then on CBS’s "48 Hours" she covered the floods on the Mississippi River, which resulted in her second Emmy Award
• Graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism
