• From 1961 to 1969, he was a full-time theater and speech instructor at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College
• Made his screen acting debut in the film "Hanky Panky" in 1982
• As a stage and TV actor, he was known for his booming voice
• Best known for his role as Lt․ Bob Brooks in "Matlock" and as Gunther Wagner in "The Edge of Night․"
• Worked part time at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College as a drama instructor from August 2007 until his death
• Appeared on a "Soap Opera Showdown" episode of the game show "Family Feud" in 1982
• On "The Edge of Night," he played a thug who was murdered and later came back to the series as his character's twin brother
