• Started out in a folk duo with James Taylor, playing guitar to Taylor's harmonica around Martha's Vineyard
• Though primarily a musician, he had an acting role in "This Is Spinal Tap" as Ronnie Pudding
• Became a successful session musician after releasing singles and albums with several bands and playing back-up during Carole King's solo career
• His solo discography includes the 1973 album "Kootch" and the 1980 album "Innuendo․"
• Helped define the sound of many singer-songwriters in the 1970s including David Crosby, Graham Nash, Carly Simon and James Taylor
• Started producing albums starting with co-writing and co-producing many of Don Henley's solo projects, including "I Can't Stand Still" and "Building the Perfect Beast․"
