• After serving in AmeriCorps' City Year in Boston, attended the University of Massachusetts, majoring in communications
• After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, began studying improvisational comedy with The People's Improv Theater in New York, as well as working with the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater and Chicago's Annoyance Theater
• Joined the a cappella group during college as a vocal percussionist, and also performed in the comedy troupe Mission: IMPROVable, known for his vocal skills as a beatboxer
• Was a member of Kung Fu Improv in the Uncommon Theater Company in Massachusetts
• Best known for his role as Shock on the PBS revival of "The Electric Company․"
• Gaining a reputation for his vocal percussion skills, joined a hip-hop comedy group Freestyle Love Supreme where he began his career as a professional comedic beatboxer
• While working with the hip-hop comedy group Freestyle Love Supreme, performed with other vocal percussionists at the Nuyorican Poets Café and Madison Square Garden
• Is a certified pre-school teacher and BSA Eagle Scout
